Hiphop Artist (South Africa)

Ntshatsheli Tile, better known by his stage name Champ, is a Umtata born rapper, currently based in Durban and has been honing his skill as a rap artist since 2005.

Champ was introduced to the art form of rapping in Pietermaritzburg since 2005, where he gained his popularity during the popular K.O.S.S Sessions. His move to the city of Durban introduced him to more growth as he met ‘Onender’ who introduced him to beat making and production.

Durban has since come to known Champ as a gifted beat maker and producer, who has contributed towards a number of gifted Durban acts projects such as Duncan, HCL, Skye Wanda, Breeze, AVGANG amongst other artists.

His style of music is described in his own words as “food for the mind & soul, a soundtrack to a winner’s life. Music gets me through a lot of life’s obstacles & I’d like to believe it does the same for my audience. I usually go for hard hitting drums & soulful melodic sounds. Whether its vibey ,happy & fun or dark & emo the aim is always to evoke emotion & get you thinking.”
